The Ondo state governor’s office has been indicted for contracts awarded to various contractors without proper documentation, identification and specification of the awarding ministries or department as the available documents only indicated that the contracts were awarded from the governor’s office.
The details of the contracts are procurement of Mercedes Benz 1518(Brand New Chasis) fire protector for equipment for Moferere Market ondo, the name of the contractor Lam-Frank Nig Ltd 44 Barracks Rd Ondo, the amount being N50, 902,768.00 and the letter with reference number GMD/GOV/CP/1/14 was dispersed to the governor’s office for details of the contract without response.
Construction of 50m Augmentation water treatment plant at Ido-ani, by Naston Engineering Nigeria Ltd 43, Raymond Njoku street, Lagos, amount N117, 482,321.49, the letter with reference number GMD/GOV/C/1/17 was equally sent to the governor’s office without response.
Construction of new intake for Oke-Ugbo water scheme with the sum of N42, 072,719.63 the contractor was not specified likewise.
Procurement of sanitation /water management equipment by Xavier structures Ltd Akure and capacity building of health workers in IMNCHI by all health computer one wood Oba-Ile with the total sum of N40M.
The total sum of all the contracts are N250M and in line with the laws guiding the awards of contracts in the state, the office of the governor has been advised to specify the departments or the ministries that awarded the contracts and their relevant documents. |
